Interested in Meditation?
Vedic Meditation is a simple, natural technique to practice, but it can't be learned overnight or from a book or website. This technique requires the expertise of a highly-trained teacher to guide you through the process of learning it properly. To begin, you must attend an "Introductory Talk" on Vedic Meditation. However, it's recommended that you first browse through the Frequently Asked Questions about the teacher and the technique.
Anyone can become an entirely self-sufficient meditator within a few sessions. If you've ever thought, "I'd love to meditate, but I don't think I could do it" - then this is for you!
What is Vedic Meditation?
Vedic meditation is one of the oldest, most effortless and natural forms of meditation. The basic technique is practiced for 20 minutes in the morning and evening while sitting comfortably in a chair with the eyes closed. Using this technique, the individual's awareness de-excites and he or she experiences a unique state of restful alertness. The mind settles down immediately and at the same time the body gains a state of very deep rest.
Following the practice you feel refreshed mentally and physically - and even more aligned to your source energy being. Consistent practice leads to consistent alignment, putting one in that place necessary to manifest one's desires. People find they can achieve more with less effort, and that work, recreation and relationships are more rewarding. In addition, the mind is calmer and more alert, thinking is clearer and energy levels increase. Other benefits include stress reduction, increased productivity and even the reversal of the aging process!
Vedic Meditation is widely practiced and its benefits in all areas of life have been validated by more than 600 scientific research studies conducted during the past 30 years at over 200 research institutes and universities in 30 countries. Research into the effects of Vedic Meditation validate its ability to create powerful, measurable changes in the physiology and promote mental and physical well-being.
